Homework in Room 3
Homework in Room 3 consists of reading. Students will be given books to take home Monday to Thursday, and on Friday they will take home a poem in their poem books. The poems are focussed on either the topic or sight word practice. The reading books your child brings home have been studied in class first. It is not unusual for your child to bring home the same book during the week as we will often re-read the book and look at different strategies. There will be times when your child will receive a task to do at home and your help to complete this at home would be appreciated.
Parents and Caregivers – for your
information
The colour wheel is
one of the ways we can look at how your child is progressing throughout the reading levels.
Kia ora Whaea Amber I like how you have displayed the colour wheel to the whanau so that they have an understanding of the levels and where their child is progressing at.
